Welcome to Chatlator – Translate Keyboard! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the mobile application provided by Smarty Labs ("we", "our", or "us"). By installing or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall and discontinue use of the app.
1. Use of the App
Chatlator – Translate Keyboard is designed to help users translate text, voice, chat, and images across multiple languages. You may use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to use the app:
For any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purposes.
To send, receive, upload, or share any content that is harmful, offensive, or violates the rights of others.
To interfere with or disrupt the app’s operation or servers.
2. User Data and Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.
Key privacy highlights:
Keyboard inputs are processed locally and not stored or collected.
Voice input is translated in real-time when you press the mic and submit—no voice data is stored.
Camera and storage access is only used to translate text from images you select or capture.
We do not collect personal information unless voluntarily provided for support or feedback.
3. Permissions
To function correctly, the app may request the following permissions:
Microphone: To record and translate voice input.
Camera: To take pictures for image translation.
Storage: To access or save image files for translation.
Input Method (Keyboard): To enable typing and translation directly in chat or any other app.
These permissions are used only to support the core features and are never misused.
4. Third-Party Services
The app may use third-party services (e.g., Google Play Services, Firebase, AdMob) which are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices, and we recommend you review those policies.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, features, trademarks, and logos used in the app are owned by Smarty Labs or its licensors. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or exploit any part of the app without express written permission.
6. Disclaimer of Warranty
This app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive to maintain a high-quality experience, we do not guarantee:
That the app will always be available or error-free.
That translations will always be fully accurate.
That third-party services integrated in the app will function flawlessly.
Use the app at your own discretion.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smarty Labs shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:
Your use or inability to use the app.
Any error or interruption in service.
Any inaccuracies in translation output.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users or third parties.
9. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Any updates will be posted in the app or on this page with a new "Effective Date." Continued use after changes implies acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Pakistan.
