Recover Deleted Messages App
Publisher: Smarty Labs
Effective Date: March 2026
Recover Deleted Messages App ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting user information.
This Privacy Policy explains how information may be processed when you use our mobile application available on the Google Play Store.
The application is available globally and may be used by users in regions including the United States, European Union, Asia, and other international locations. We aim to follow applicable privacy practices including Google Play Developer Policies and widely accepted privacy standards.
By installing or using the application, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
1. How the App Works
Recover Deleted Messages App helps users view messages and media that were deleted from supported messaging applications.
The application works by monitoring notifications generated by other applications installed on the user's device.
When a notification containing message content appears on the device, the app may store a copy of that notification locally. If the sender deletes the message later, the stored notification content may be displayed to the user.
Important limitations include:
- Messages received before installing the application cannot be recovered
- Messages without notifications cannot be detected
- Muted chats may not generate notifications
- If notifications are cleared before detection, the app may not capture the message
- Media files must already exist on the device before deletion to be recovered
The application does not access encrypted messages directly from messaging platforms.
2. Information Collected
Notification Content
When Notification Access permission is enabled, the app may process notification content displayed by the device operating system including:
- Message text shown in notifications
- Sender name appearing in notifications
- Notification timestamp and metadata
This information is used solely to detect deleted messages and remains stored locally on the user's device.
We do not transmit personal message content to our servers.
Media Files
The application may store copies locally on the device including:
- Images
- Videos
- Voice messages
- Other shared files
These files remain stored only on the user's device unless deleted by the user.
Device and Technical Information
- Device model
- Operating system version
- Application version
- Device language
- Network status
- Crash reports and diagnostics
Advertising Identifiers
Advertising services used in the application may process device identifiers such as:
- Google Advertising ID
Users may manage advertising identifiers through device settings.
3. Android Permissions Used
Notification Access
Required to detect incoming message notifications and identify deleted messages.
Storage / Media Access
Allows the application to store recovered media files locally on the device.
Internet Access
Required for advertising services, analytics services, and application updates.
Foreground Service
Allows the application to monitor notifications while running in the background.
Receive Boot Completed
Allows the application to resume notification monitoring when the device restarts.
Wake Lock
Helps maintain reliable background monitoring.
Battery Optimization Exemption
The application may request exemption from battery optimization to ensure stable and uninterrupted background notification monitoring. This is required for the core functionality of the app to work reliably across all Android devices.
4. Notification Monitoring Explanation
Recover Deleted Messages App requires Notification Access permission to function.
When enabled, the application monitors notifications generated by other applications installed on the device.
If a notification containing message content appears before the sender deletes the message, the application may store that notification locally in order to display it later.
The application does not access encrypted communications directly and does not bypass the security systems of messaging applications.
5. Notification Access & User Responsibility
By enabling Notification Access, users acknowledge and agree that the application may process notification content displayed on the device solely for the purpose of detecting deleted messages and providing the requested features.
- Users control notification permissions through device settings
- Users may revoke permissions at any time
- Users are responsible for ensuring lawful use of the application
Recover Deleted Messages App does not intercept private communications, access messaging servers, or bypass encryption technologies.
6. Local Device Processing
Most processing performed by Recover Deleted Messages App occurs directly on the user's device.
Recovered messages and media remain stored locally on the device. The developer does not receive, upload, or store personal message content on remote servers.
7. Third-Party Services
The application may use trusted third-party services including:
- Google AdMob – advertising services
- Firebase Analytics – application analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics – crash reporting
- Google Play Services – core Android services
These services may collect anonymized technical information according to their own privacy policies. We encourage users to review the privacy policies of these third-party providers.
8. Advertising Disclosure
The application displays advertisements to support free access to the service.
Advertising partners may use device identifiers and limited device information to deliver relevant ads.
9. Subscriptions and Billing
Recover Deleted Messages App offers optional subscription plans that unlock additional features. All subscription billing is processed securely by Google Play and is subject to Google Play's Terms of Service.
We do not collect, store, or process any payment card details or financial information directly.
Subscription management:
- Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled at any time through Google Play — go to Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

10. Data Retention
Recovered messages and media remain stored only on the user's device until deleted by the user.
Analytics and crash reporting data collected by Firebase is retained for up to 14 months by default, as per Firebase's data retention policy. Advertising data processed by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's privacy policy.
11. User Privacy Rights
Because Recover Deleted Messages App primarily processes data locally on the device and does not store personal message content on servers:
